To get faster processing while doing large number of continuous SNMP set operations, this object can be set to 'disable'; And,once the SNMP set operations are done, 'hpSwitchSaveConfig' MIB object can be used to save the running-config to the flash. This object will not be saved across a re-boot, and will always be set to 'enable' at boot. It is advisable to set this MIB object to 'disable' only when there are a lot of continuous SNMP set operations e.g. a script executing a large number of SNMP set operations.
